Join myself and fellow professional trader Alan Thompson at Betfair headquarters in London for a small group training course looking at Betting Automation.
This is how the day will run.
9.00am Introduction and Setup
- What is automation and how does it work?
- Gruss Betting Assistant Setup
- Excel creation
We can do any spreadsheets you request easily and quickly, and more importantly, show you how to do it.
- Back to Lays (specific runners)
- Back the Bottom horse
- Lay off profit
- Lay the Favourite (2nd Fav / 3rd Fav etc)
- Lay the drifter 10 mins before the off
10.30am Coffee break.
- Live Racing (Dogs or Horses, or we can do both)
First couple of races we will show you the Gruss Betting Assistant Screen and how the bets are automatically placed from Excel, through Gruss into Betfair and ensure that the Spreadsheet is performing as designed (you can ask any questions and get answers in-between races).
- Run your own spreadsheet.
- Stakes / Parameters / Selections
- Our strategies and techniques
We will help you to set up your first races and answer any further questions or issues you have until ultimately you will leave with a fully functioning automated spreadsheet of your own.
Once everyone has a spreadsheet running (or are happy to just watch ours in operation) we can move onto the results tab (which we put in every spreadsheet and will be accumulating your own data if you are now running a sheet of your own)
We will then show you how we analyse our data from the spreadsheet and the data downloaded from Betfair’s P&L to get a high level view on how the spreadsheet is performing (the analysis spreadsheet will be given to you to keep). This analysis will then either lead you to a new strategy or change the parameters of an existing strategy a bit for optimal performance.
We will show you how to get the most from your automated trading experience. These include pre-race and in running strategies.
4.00pm to 5.00pm Closing and Q & A
We will show you where to get data for backtesting new strategies / theories – at which point we can also show you our OTHER databases that we have for Football, Cricket, Tennis, Golf and Racing (there will be an opportunity for you to be able to access our database should you wish to do so)
We will then head to the bar for a quick drink and any further questions you may have. That drink will of course (as always) be on us!
VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE
You will not leave here with a tried and tested automation spreadsheet that is guaranteed to make a profit over the long term! We are helping you make one based on something you want to try. We need to make that clear and open.
You WILL leave us with the tools and skills to produce your own automated betting spreadsheet under Gruss Betting Assistant to fit your own specific requirements.
TO BE CLEAR
This is NOT for people who are already doing this and looking for the holy grail of spreadsheets. This is for people who maybe have a strategy in their heads or are in full time employment so can’t play every race every day, or just want to free up some time and get away from the computer, but have it still working for them BUT don’t know how to do it!
We will of course offer ongoing support but we believe you will find this relatively easy once you know what you are doing. But we will always be available to guide you.
Why attend our course?
This is an opportunity, at Betfair headquarters, to see live, how to trade horse and greyhound racing using automation, both before and during the race rather than simply betting on them and hoping they win.
You don’t need a huge bank to get started. Trade with as much or as little as you’re comfortable with. You can even set the program to stop at a certain profit or loss.
This is not about finding the winner of every race. This is nothing to do with which horse wins, in fact you don’t even need to know much about racing at all, if anything!
Who should attend?
